"New Choros of Brazil"(Proteus Entertainment 0016, 2005) is exactly as the title describes, a contemporary choro repertoire which was mostly written in the past few years expressly for guitarist Paulo Bellinati and clarinetist Harvey Wainapel. Although guitar and flute has been a common duet format in the past, the guitar/clarinet combination heard on "New Choros" is novel but nonetheless exhilarating despite such a minimalist pairing.More info about the CD at Paulo Bellinati's website
